The ACGC News is a short information sheet emailed to chicken growers who are members of State Farming Organisations, Processor Grower Goups, and Associate members. It features business information, tracks diseases, provides information on grants and opportunities, and environmental scanning. Many of Australia’s free range chicken meat farms are accredited by FREPA, a not-for-profit, member-based organisation established in 1993, and focused on independent accreditation of animal welfare, traceability and production standards of free range eggs and poultry. To be accredited, members must demonstrate an understanding of land care, environmental, biosecurity and animal welfare issues, and animal diseases.

The events conducted across the nation on 8 April 2019 by animal activists demonstrated both their complete disregard for opinions or values other than their own, and their contempt for the concepts of privacy, property security, animal welfare and a livestock sector.

This Standard sets out a number of food safety requirements for the primary production and processing of poultry, and poultry carcasses and poultry meat for human consumption. At the primary production stage, businesses that produce poultry must implement measures to control the food safety hazards and must be able to trace their products. Businesses that process poultry must control their food safety hazards and must be able to trace their products.
