Many of Australia’s free range chicken meat farms are accredited by FREPA, a not-for-profit, member-based organisation established in 1993, and focused on independent accreditation of animal welfare, traceability and production standards of free range eggs and poultry. To be accredited, members must demonstrate an understanding of land care, environmental, biosecurity and animal welfare issues, and animal diseases.
