ACGC is proud to now be able to boast a fourth Nuffield Scholar with our ranks with NSW Diector and turkey grower James Mifsud being awarded a 2014 Scholarship. James joins the company of Rob Kestel, Guy Hebblewhite and Jodie Redcliffe who have all been awarded Scholarships in the past.
The Nuffield Scholarship Program endeavors to grow potential and promote excellence within the agricultural community, by encouraging farmers o travel and share ideas while researching an agricultural topic of their choice.
Rob Kestel started the trend in 2006 and was the first person within the chicken meat industry to be awarded a Nuffield Scholarship. Rob traveled to Canada, Mexico, United States of America, Brazil, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates to research his chosen topic of Reducing the Environmental Footprint of the Meat Chicken Industry.
